The cat was fitted with glossy glass eyes in France and placed on a gilded bronze stool with a richly decorated cushion. The stool of this replica is also gilded! It is said that Purrquoise was part of the collection of the Marquise de Pompadour.<\/p>\n<p>Developed in collaboration with the J. Paul Getty Museum USA \/ J. Paul Getty Trust. The museum gave this originally Chinese cat its fitting name, Purrquoise.
