Nefertiti

1 June 2026

More than 3,300 years after her reign, Queen Nefertiti remains one of the most fascinating figures from ancient Egyptian history. As the spouse of Pharaoh Akhenaten, she played a major political and religious role during one of the most remarkable periods of Egyptian art and culture in the 14th century BC. Nefertiti became world-famous through the discovery of her iconic painted limestone bust in 1912, inspired by the artistic splendor of the Amarna period. Today, the bust is considered one of the greatest surviving works of ancient art. With her elongated neck and blue crown, Nefertiti symbolizes refinement, power, and feminine strength.
